he ICQRF today published the second edition of the practical guide to the labeling of olive oils, updated with the novelties of legislative decrees n. 145/2017 (headquarters and packaging plant) and n. 231/2017 (Article 17 – identification of the lot) and of Reg. (EU) no. 2018/1096.
The guide aims to provide operators in the sector with a tool to market olive oil in a correct and positive way for the consumer and for the producer, both with reference to the mandatory and optional indications on the label.
Inspectors Roberto Ciancio and Roberta Capecci, who drafted the Guide, have for years been a reference point within the ICQRF for labeling issues and have updated the Guide trying to make it even more usable and operational, as well as updated with the latest regulatory news.
